BACK TO NEWSIconic steps have collaborated with Great Guns and their director Calum MacDiarmid to deliver a comedic commercial for HomeServe.
Iconic Steps are producing high-quality campaigns of all shapes and sizes for various clients including Homeserve. As an end-to-end creative studio, Iconic Steps collaborated with Great Guns to produce their first ever commercial. Working with Brighton based agency, RocketMill, from initial brief through to final delivery to create the campaign.
The commercial shows family man Jason, moving though his home in an effortlessly choreographed stride, maintaining absolute serenity as various home emergencies occur all around him. Which communicated the benefits of HomeServe cover with simplicity, humour, and a smile.
“The ambition for the commercial was to make the most effortlessly ‘smooth’ film possible,” director Calum Macdiarmid states. “Both Great Guns and Iconic Steps are fiercely committed to championing the underrepresented and mentoring the next generation, which meant that we had a number of young people on set watching the process… and keeping me on my toes!”
On the HomeServe set, there were three trainees. Iconic Steps acts as a network and community to make sure that the creative industries are as accessible as possible for young people from under-represented backgrounds. Therefore, the trainees had the opportunity to build their skills and gain paid experience on set.

As Iconic Steps ramp up their commercial efforts, the creative studio will continue to bring briefs to life of all ranges. From commercials to content, design events and photography, offering a fresh voice and perspective to campaigns. The profits from their productions will also fund their academy of free courses for young people and when you work with Iconic Steps you become a driver of real social change.
